Foundation chain: Chain as wide as you want it to be. Single crochet in the second chain. Continue single crocheting until the end. Turn your work without chaining.
Row 1: Crochet one stacked single stitch in the first stitch. This will create straight edges.

After that, continue double crocheting in the back loop until the end. Turn your work without chaining.
When you reach the end, keep repeating row 1, until your work is as large as you want it to be.
